The seller delivers and unloads at the named place. It is the only Incoterm where the seller must unload.

Once goods are unloaded at the named place.

When to use DPU

Project cargo and terminal deliveries where the seller controls the handling.

Watch out for

The seller must be able to unload legally and safely at the destination. Confirm equipment and access.

DPU for Africa trade

Rarely used for small shipments. Consider it for heavy equipment where offloading is the risky step.
